Professor in Philosophy, Archeologist, and Master of Historical Sciences, with a special mention in Ethnohistory, from the University of Chile. Tenured professor at the Anthropology Department at the Alberto Hurtado University, and tenured professor emeritus from the University of Chile. Specialist in archeology, ethnohistory, and Andean ethnography. She has managed Fondecyt projects in the highlands and in the coast of Antofagasta that are mentioned in various publications. She is the recipient of the 2015 Amanda Labarca award.
