Daira Arana Aguilar

Phd student of Public Policy in at Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores Monterrey. Her research topics are focused on the processes of militarization and militarism in Latin America, Human Rights Applicable to the Use of Force and International Humanitarian Law, as well as application of the gender perspective and feminisms in the field of security. She has worked in governmental institutions, civil society, international and academic organizations, focusing her work on security issues, use of force, personal protection standards and gender mainstreaming in the armed and security forces.
