She has PhD in Social Sciences from the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences at Unicamp and postdoctoral degrees from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and the Center de Recherche Sociologiques et Politiques, both in Paris. She is a professor at the Faculty of Education at Unicamp and author, among other books, of The sociological production of Florestan Fernandes and the educational problem (2003) and co-organizer, with Alexandro Henrique Paixão and Nima I. Spigolon, of Sparks of transformations: Paulo Freire & Raymond Williams (2021).
