Fátima Regis

Graduated in Social Communication at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Master’s Degree and PhD in Communication and Culture by the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. She is a associate professor of the Faculty of Communication Social of the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, where he teaches at undergraduate and graduate programs. She did postdoc at the Center for 21st Century Studies at the University of Wisconsin and was a visiting researcher at the Democracy Lab of Department of Communication at the University of California. She directs the Research Laboratory in Communication, Play and Cognition (CiberCog – CNPq Directory). She coordinates the Research Network CLAC (Communication, Playful, Affection and Cognition), which involves researchers Brazilians and foreigners. She has experience in the field of Communication, with emphasis on Theory of Communication, acting mainly on the following topics: digital culture, multimodal communication, affect theory, studies of cognition, science fiction and subjectivity.
