José Francisco Gómez Coutiño

Architect, Master in Urban Development and Land Management and Specialist in Restoration and Rehabilitation of Architectural Heritage by the Autonomous University of Chiapas. Doctor in Architecture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Account with the graduates: Iconography and Iconology by the Anahuac University and Christian Iconography by the Pontifical University of Mexico. Full-time professor-researcher at the Faculty of Architecture of the Autonomous University of Chiapas in the areas of theory and urbanism. It is desirable profile PRODEP, a member of the State System of Researchers, has belonged to the National System of Researchers Level I of CONACYT and is currently a Leader of the Academic Body: Heritage, Territory and Sustainability. He is an active member of the National Committee of ICOMOS Mexicano A.C., Member of the Colombian Association of Urban-Regional Investigators and member of the Mexican Network of Heritage Landscapes. Author of book chapters, articles published both locally, nationally and internationally as well as the publication of books: "The Dominicans in Chiapas and the construction of the Cathedral of San Cristóbal de Las Casas", and "Iconographic syncretism in architecture Chiapas religious”.
