José Luis Iriarte Ángel

Graduate in Law from the University of Deusto (Spain), PhD in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). Professor of Private International Law at the Public University of Navarra, Jean Monnet Chair of the European Union, Of Counsel at Lupicinio International Law Firm. He has delivered at conferences in more than 20 countries. It has recognized 7 sections (six-year periods) of research. He is the author of 5 monographs, various comments on different legal texts and several dozen articles. He is also the scientific editor of 5 books and co-author of a compilation of legal texts, now in its 17th edition. He is currently doing research on international sanctions, internal conflicts of laws and various problems of international contracting. Author of chapters and articles such as: “The appeal of unconstitutionality 315-2020 against the reform of the New Law of Navarra: aspects related to the civil status” (in Private international law between tradition and innovation, 2020); “Incidence of COVID-19 on international contracts and force majeure” (in COVID-19: current legal conflicts and challenges, 2020); and “The Helms-Burton Law and the European response to its extraterritorial effects” (in Cuadernos Europeos de Deusto, No. 63, 2020).
