Graduated from the Emmanuel d’Alzón High School in Bogotá in 1994 and enlisted the Military Aviation School where he obtained the title of military pilot and aeronautical administrator in 1998. Helicopter pilot with countless public order missions that earned him recognition with different medals, he requested voluntary retirement in the rank of lieutenant and began a promising career in commercial aviation where he was a flight instructor and specialist in Long Line operations. He was a victim of the terrorist group Ejército de Liberación Nacional in 2014 suffering serious injuries that led to the loss of his medical license from the Colombian aeronautical authority, this meant the end of his career as a pilot, but not as an air man. He entered the Military Aviation School again, but this time as a university professor, obtaining multiple recognitions and participating in various scientific investigations that resulted in academic publications including books, book chapters and scientific articles, he has been co-director of the research hotbed in aeronautical military sciences together with doctor Andrea Falla Rubiano, director and jury of countless degree projects. Organizer of academic events such as the Safety Management System I, II, III and IV congress of the Military Aviation School and the university week, among many others.
