Manuel Barrós

Sociologist, manager, researcher, and translator. Master’s student in Intellectual History from the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He is the co-author of Un grito a la tierra. Art and revolution in Chaski (Cusco, 1972-1974) (2022). He has also published the collection of poems Tantalizing (2022). He works on the development and implementation of cultural policies linked to the book industry and the promotion of reading. His research interests are sociology of literature, literary translation, poetry, cinema, government of Juan Velasco Alvarado, book history, print culture, African heritage, Latin American literature, and politics cultural.
