María Macarena Cordero Fernández

PhD in History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile. Currently, she is an academic at the Institute of History of the Universidad de los Andes, a member of the Laboratory of Colonial and Modern Worlds of the Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile, and a participant of the Trento Research Group in the Hispanic World. Likewise, individual, social, and cultural renewal at the University of Navarra. Her research areas are inserted in the cultural history of colonial America and the new institutional history. She has directed and sponsored Fondecyt projects and has participated as a co-investigator in international initiatives. Among her books are Institucionalizar y desarraigar.
