Paula Rojas Amador

Professor, researcher and intermedia creator. She is a professor at the School of Performing Arts at the Universidad Nacional (Costa Rica), and coordinator of the Laboratorio Escénico Digital (translated as Digital Stage Laboratory, DSL), which focuses on research on the relationship between art and digital technologies. She has a Ph.D in Theater from Laval University in Québec (Canada), in the Littérature et arts de la scène et l’ écran program which emphasizes on the subject area of digital technology on stage. Master of Theater from the Universidad del Estado de Santa Catarina (Brazil) in the area of contemporary interpretation. She obtained her Bachelor of Theater from UNA. Among her research-creation interests are: the technological scene and its relationship with the creation of experiences among the visual, sound and the body; the creation of scenic devices, immersion, facilities-theatre, contemporary interpretation and the history of theater in Costa Rica.
