Rafael Ruiloba

Spanish Professor at the University of Panama. He was a member of the writers group "The other column". He was General Director of the National Institute of Culture. Member of the National Council of Writers in Panama (2001 – 2003). He won the Literary Contest "Ricardo Miró" 1990 with his short stories book Vienen de Panamá (INAC, Panama, 1991) and 1996 with his novel Manosanta (INAC, Panama 1997). He has published, among others, in the magazines "Lottery", "La Otra Columna", "Temas de Nuestra America" and "Maga". He has also published the following books: Profiles of literary criticism in Latin America (INAC, 1984), Demetrio Herrera Sevillano, Essential Anthology (Ediciones Formato Dieciseis, 1986), Semiotic Consideration of Ideology (Ideology and Communication) (Editions LASIC, 1989), Three essays on Cervantes (INAC, Panama, 1990), They come from Panama (INAC, Panama, 1991), Manosanta (novel, INAC, Panama 1997) and Antigone: The text of the tragedy (INAC, Panama, 1991), Sor Juana Inés de La Cruz or the Battle between Knowledge and Power (Editorial Portobelo, Panamá, 1999), The basic competences of the Newsroom (Panamá, 2011).
