Doctorate in Social Sciences with a specialization in Political Studies from FLACSO Ecuador. Professor at the Government and Public Administration Center of the National Higher Studies Institute, IAEN, Ecuador. The author’s areas of study are: the State, plurinationality, intercultural democracy, decentralization, local management, and public policies for indigenous peoples. Her most recent publications are: “El movimiento indígena in Rafael Correa’s administration: ten years of reverses and contradictions,” in Estado plurinacional, democracia intercultural y autonomías indígenas, published by UNDP in La Paz, in 2018; “Estado plurinacional y autodeterminación indígena,” in La Migraña. Journal of political analysis published in Bolivia, December, 2017 issue.
