Soledad Varea

PhD in Social Sciences with a major in Political Studies from FLACSO, Ecuador. Professor at the Humanities Faculty, Central University and at the National Institute of Higher Studies, in Ecuador. Her research focuses on body issues, sexualities and abortion. Has published “Territorial dynamics of abortion: delegations and dissent” in the journal Political Science from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2017. Along with Sofía Zaragocín, she is coauthor of the book Feminism and Good Living: decolonial utopies, 2017. In 2014 she published, along with Mario Chicaiza, Religious and spiritual diversity in the shaping of the Ecuadorian state.
