Stéphane Vinolo

PhD in Philosophy from the Michel Montaigne University of Bordeaux (France) and a PhD in Theology from the University of Strasbourg (France). He is the author of 10 books, including Alain Badiou – Vivre en inmortel. (L´Harmattan, 2014, Rene Girard: Du Mimétisme A´ L´Hominisation (l´Harmattan, 2005), and Par –Dessus Le Marché: Spinoza, Smith, Derrida, Girard (L´Harmattan, 2018). He is a specialist in French Philosophy (Sartre, Girard, Derrida, Badiou, Marion) and in 17th century Pre-Critical Philosophy (Descartes, Spinoza, Hobbes, Malebranche, Pascal). He is a member of the Editorial Committee of Journals in Canada, Colombia and Costa Rica. At present, he is Senior Professor of the School of Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador.
