As a jigzaw puzzle, this book organize letters and centennial pieces of paper found in Costa Rican and European museums in order to re-create the golden age of Botany in Costa Rica and the beginning of the modern science in the country. The Swiss Botanist Adolphe Tonduz, guides us into the flora exploration carried in late nineteenth century in Costa Rica’s hidden corners. Tonduz texts address different topics such as environmental conservation, infrastructure and historical characters which form a set of unforgettable memories which are not documented by any other source of information until now.
