Knowing that it is impossible to embrace the full depth of aesthetics and semiotics in one study, this work is dedicated to providing a brief history of these sciences, presenting the reader to the leading philosophers of these areas and elucidating the aspects that reveal their autonomy as well as their points in common. Thus, it talks about language, communication and the development of communicative processes.
