This book raises some alternative conceptions present in the debates around Latin American integration, based on classic concepts of development, leadership, sovereignty, the State and diplomacy. These concepts have reconsidered and oriented the discussions and reflections raised in this volume based on alternative approaches such as environmentalism, energy integration, the development-autonomy relationship and intellectual colonialism in a context of liquid modernity, which, given the relevance and relevance of new actors, have given way to strengthening paradiplomacy in the current scenario that is being attended. In this sense, the discussions take up variations and reconceptualizations in the midst of the current debates that accompany the conceptual framework and the reality in terms of regional integration from the particularities of the Latin American region.
