This book retraces the valuable story for the history of indigenous studies of how the author became an anthropologist in Peru, and in particular his first ethnographic experience, which made him commit as an activist for the past and future of the indigenous peoples. In every theory there is always some biography, and thus this book is an exercise in memory that states how experiences and family relations have influenced the author´s anthropological career.
