IDENTIDAD COLECTIVA E INSTITUCIONES REGIONALES EN LA COMUNIDAD ANDINA. UN ANÁLISIS CONSTRUCTIVISTA

This book offers a constructivist analysis of the Andean Community in an effort to apply constructivism to the study of regionalism in South America and Latin America. The emphasis on collective identity and regional institutions obeys to the priority given to these two ideational structures by constructivist studies on regionalism in other parts of the world. The recurrent mention of Andean identity in the official discourse of the CAN and the complexity of its institutional structure also justify the emphasis on both variables. Besides inquiring about its explanatory role of the action of the States, concerning the Andean regional project, this book proposes a particular method to offer explanations based on the role of ideas matching elements of critical realism as a philosophy of the science and interpretive methodologies such as linguistic and discourse analysis.
