The book that the reader is holding in their hands emerges from the inter-institutional research project Plurality, justice and construction of peace in Valle del Cauca: reflections from philosophy and social sciences on cultural otherness, in the framework of the post-agreement in Colombia financed and endorsed by the Universidad del Valle, the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, and with the participation of the Regional Indigenous Organization of Valle del Cauca (ORIVAC). Four research groups joined academic efforts to meet the objectives of the project: Praxis, from the Universidad del Valle; Communication and Languages, and De Humanitate, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali; and Environments and Identities, from the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente.
