This work is based on two incentives that have been intertwined over the last few years. On the one hand, the XI Hispanic Argentinian Seminar organised by the Universidad Nacional del Litoral and the University of Alicante. The activity brought together a heterogeneous and prestigious group of intellectuals with diverse affiliations from the field of social and human sciences. On the other hand, the coordinators have already analysed some aspects of the subject in Justicia y derechos humanos en la construcción de la democracia, published in the Diálogos collection by the same publisher in 2011. On that occasion, a number of social scientists addressed the analytical richness proposed by the articulation between memory, human rights, justice and democracy. As can be seen, the latter is a problem that not only links that work and the one we present here. It constitutes, above all, an object of reflection that articulates teaching, research and extension actions in the university field.
