The critical texts presented in this book are the result of the 7th International Congress of Literature, Memory and Imagination of Latin America and the Caribbean (using written and oral routes). This Congress arose out of a joint initiative: formed, on one hand, by the Universidad Atonoma de Mexico (UNAM) and its Centre for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean (CIALC). And on the other, by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), Department of Communication, Linguistics and Literature and its School of Language and Literature.
