DITADURAS: MEMÓRIA, VIOLÊNCIA E SILENCIAMENTO
The book is founded in the categories of dictatorship, memory, violence and silence. The articles included in the publication express epistemological and historiographic questions that discuss the character of authoritarian regimes and its influences in politics of memory that define the present. In the first part of the book, works that dialogue more directly with memory and history are highlighted, taking in consideration that history can only be understood through comprehension of this dynamic. In the second one, were reunited articles that talk about the civilian and military dictatorship and approaches its political, economical and social aspects. The third and last part cover the articles that focus on the Northeast region of Brazil, particularly Bahia, envolving repressive networks and memories of combat to the regime along its 21 years.
