This book seeks to give a general context of the evolution of image, sound, space and text on the scene once we entered the democratization of the digital. The modification in the creation processes, the technical implications, the empowerment and expressiveness of these media, as well as their participation in the scene, are part of the topics of discussion found in this writing. Through the understanding of how to organize, conceive and how to write through media, we come to the notion of dramaturgy in a broad sense. In other words, we observe the construction of dramaturgy as the central axis that gives raison d’être, place and meaning to the integration of image, sound, space and text in dialogue with the other elements of the scene.
When discussing these media in relation to the digital scene, and the paradigm shift between technology and art, in which these elements are inscribed, we also reflect on certain points of reference that help us in the dramaturgical composition of each of these elements in question. The topic proposed in this material is framed as one of the emerging areas of knowledge in the performing arts, called among other things: digital scene, technology in the theater, art and technology, interactivity and scene, currently an area of exceptional interest.
