The current ecological crisis calls for comprehensive answers, as there are many paths that may lead to a solution. This publication of the San Alberto Magno Institute for the Integration of Knowledge, of the Catholic University of Salta, aims at taking up this challenge, deepening the understanding of this issue and creating courses of action that promote the protection of our common home.
Within this framework, the book provides a series of reflections that constitute proposals for a Christian humanism, focused on the dignity of man—God’s image—, committed to profound dialog in the face of contemporary issues and with a view to the positive transformation of culture.
The Laudato Sí’ Encyclical (Pope Francis) has—additionally—provided encouragement and inspiration to explore the reflexive field of scientific specializations and to stimulate interdisciplinary dialog. The integration of knowledge becomes crucial for understanding the problems we are facing in all their complexity, pursuing an ultimate comprehension of the world and its meaning.
