October 18, 2019 made us wake up and relive several experiences, among them to evaluate and generate a series of tactical and strategic changes aimed at building a better country. In the same way, it offered us the possibility to discuss and build collectively the actions that will make us feel owners of our future.
The aim of this book is to bring together a diverse group of people to share their ideas on the process of change that Chile is undergoing, including academics, leaders, as well as individuals from civil society. The result is a diverse reflection on topics such as the organization of cities, community struggles for housing, concessions, sports, human rights, education, art, children, the environment, immigrants, the elderly, state violence, among others.
In the style of sports matches, this temporary space known as "halftime", which divides events into a before and an after, is configured as a moment of reflection on the past in which changes are projected into the future. This book seeks to be a contribution to the transformation that is taking place in Chile.
