The problem of ethnicity can not be considered centered on a certain cartography. As we will see, this is a matter of the artist’s work from all latitudes, that is why ethnicity is postulated with a value and not as an imposed, political presence. It goes further because it comes from the origin. This essay addresses the problems surrounding the understanding of this event in the relationship between ethnism and art, where there is a need to start with a first warning in the sense that when we talk about art, reference is made to a taxonomy, to a structure and an aesthetic from the hegemonic thought that has spread Western culture and whose characterization became more concrete from the Renaissance, when the figure of the artist rises with qualities that are accentuated in modernity linked to political-economic values.
