FAMILY AND MENTAL ILLNESS. AN ANALYSIS FROM THE FIELD OF JUSTICE
FAMILIA Y PADECIMIENTO MENTAL. UN ANÁLISIS DESDE EL ÁMBITO DE LA JUSTICIA
Looking towards the theme of the family from the subjective condition offers us a journey; a journey to dimensions not yet very explored from nonclassical and alternative perspectives. Thus, the encounter between the social vision of madness, it subjective impact and the inevitable implication in family life is presented as a contribution that goes beyond the discipline of social work and can be very useful to other fields such as law, psychiatry and psychology. Perhaps the advantage is that it is a text written from the needs imposed in daily practice and from that point it needs to rethink ways, tools and conceptual frameworks that seem obsolete and even iatrogenic when they are applied based on an assumption care or welfare of another that, since the construction of institutional mandates in mental health, is conceived as someone without history, word, nor context.
