This book addresses the life of soccer clubs in Argentina during the last military regime, challenging the common, binary and simplistic perspective of those years. The contributions of this book goes beyond the concepts of victims and victimizers and reveal that repression is not the explanatory element of every action or inaction of the participants in this dark period. The text offers an additional focus to analyze the mosaic of expressions of conformism, indifference, adaptation, adherence to the prevailing regime or opposition to it. In addition to the contribution to the studies of contemporary civil society, it helps to rethink the links that clubs established with political authorities in several dimensions.
