GEOGRAFÍA APLICADA EN IBEROAMÉRICA. AVANCES, RETOS Y PERSPECTIVAS

The book includes 23 authors from some Latin American countries, as well as an introduction and final reflection. Is divided into three main sections: the first one, studies social geography, economic and environmental; the second study, shafts that cross the integrated social sciences: terminology, spatial analysis, technologies linked to geographic information and the third of them, features examples of research in the Ibero-American region. The authors highlight that since some years, works in the social sciences that give a strategic role to the spatial dimension are showing a great interest in the world and that Latin America is no exception to this trend. This can be seen in the abundant scientific production in the region, under this approach, in contributions to the public and private policymakers or the consolidation of several journals.
