It is clear that sustainability must be achieved if humankind seeks to survive with current lifestyle standards. Chemists and Chemistry have a role in sustainability; however, to reach this purpose it is vital that people who are not chemists understand basic concepts on green chemistry and how using those can be used to guarantee life. On this basis, this book is a Spanish review of topics concerning green chemistry applied to all areas in Chemistry. The objective of this material is to be clear and well-written to the future professionals in Chemistry, not only to acquire basic knowledge but also to raise awareness on applying them effectively.
