The systematization offered in this document refers to concrete work experiences with prison population of western Colombia cities, Cali, Santander de Quilichao and Puerto Tejada. Its purpose is to show the importance of the processes of resocialization that promotes self-reflection in each inmate, the narrative exercise of recognition of one’s values and the discursive reconstruction of one’s identity as a free person to shake off the heavy burden of social stigma of "ex convicted" by the judicial system. Without this perspective, it becomes difficult for the success of programs focused on humanization and resocialization, according to work, study and behavior.
