The development of the scientific field can be considered as a scenario under continuous construction. Throughout this constructive process, science has witnessed two processes that are sometimes perceived as distant and irreconcilable and sometimes complementary: on one hand, a tendency towards deep disciplinary specialization and, on the other hand, an interdisciplinary tendency. The debates and discussions surrounding this double process are still part of academic and intellectual life. There is no field in which they talk about it. These are discussions that are on the agenda. This characteristic on the scientific field enriches not only the reflection by the dynamics of science itself, but also by the role it plays in society. Especially in academic and training spaces, such as universities where academic communities encourage and give life to it.
