International Radio Broadcasting: From Shortwave to the Internet

O rádio internacional: das ondas curtas à internet

In 1916, the idea to tune in to different wavelengths and listen to various kinds of sounds was the landmark for developing both the technology and the regional and international communication, performing a role in history which is still very important.
The book International Radio Broadcasting: From Shortwave to the Internet, by the author Valter Aguiar, covers the history of international radio broadcasting. From the invention of radio, describing the development of international broadcasters throughout the 20th century to this day, checking the current role of those communication outlets. The idea to prepare this book started from his course conclusion paper The Current Shortwave Broadcast Panorama, during his Journalism course at the Catholic University of Santos. The book also includes a gallery presenting 72 postcards sent by various radio broadcasters throughout the world.
