From a perspective of semiotic-cultural constructivism in psychology, the book approaches the involuntary gestational loss and how it implies the discontinuity of the development of the self, defying understanding and expectations of what has been built around the self and the world. It also brings, in its nine chapters, the result of the author’s study that approaches, essentialy, about how the self builds a continuity through sucessive ruptures along the reproductive path.
