La defensa judicial de la posesión en Colombia

Judicial defense of taking office in Colombia constitutes a serious and detailed study regarding a topic of great socio-legal implications: possessory protection. In this sense, the present text studies the act of taking office, not only based on a theoretical and dogmatic approach, but also transcending its normative understanding through mechanisms that guarantee its protection. Simultaneously, it highlights the social background which underlies its effective recognition, as it represents a social justice instrument that promotes the essential aims and values of a social rule of law, namely: equality, solidarity, human dignity and work.

Due to the above, that is to say, because of the connection between possession and realization of constitutional values, a privileged spot has been conferred to possession in debates regarding economic rights, particularly those about property law. This book contributes meaningfully in the context of such discussion.
