Latin America in Ten Novels, corresponds to the Doctoral thesis of the author, presented to obtain the Doctor’s degree in Hispanic Philology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where it was qualified as Outstanding Cum Laude. This work obtained the international Prize of the Institute of Ibero-American Cooperation for the best Doctoral Thesis of 1980.
