Territorios latinoamericanos. Ciudades, ruralidades y políticas de Desarrollo

Latin American Territories brings together seventeen articles written by young researchers from Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, which is why it is a bilingual edition —Spanish and Portuguese—. Said writings were made from advances in the master’s and doctoral theses of these researchers, which have been evaluated by teacher-researchers from the three countries mentioned. This book contributes to the knowledge and intervention on very wide territories of these countries. Although we can find in these works different themes and theoretical contributions, methodological proposals and case studies, it is possible to establish three cross-sectional content axes throughout the book: first, the dimensions of the urban territory of the 21st century; secondly, rurality and environment in territorial development, and lastly, territorial policy in diverse contexts. This publication represents a collective effort that seeks to contribute ideas to discussions on socioeconomic and environmental conflicts derived from the occupation of urban and rural spaces and the exploitation of their resources, as well as the actors and forms of land management (Donadoni and Natali, 2020).
