In this book we present a research of ‘A letter to a Young Poet’, an essay written by Virginia Woolf and published by Thee Hogarth Press in 1932, as well as its Spanish translations. The main objective of this research is to propose a commented back translation of A Letter to a Young Poet, where it is obtained the need to investigate the place of this essay in Woolf’s work and its context. Also, to characterize the genre, discuss the current Spanish translations, reflect on the motivations and the process of back translation. Hoping this publication provides interdisciplinary contributions to translation studies and literary studies.
