Malcolm Deas: historiador de Colombia. Ensayos en su honor

This book contains a selection of 11 essays that pay tribute to the historian Malcolm Deas and his extraordinary work made up of more than 130 titles on Colombia and Latin America, published in the last four decades. His legacy is also reflected in his generous work as an educator of several generations of students interested in better understanding the national past. The texts collected here were written by some of his Oxford University history students and close friends, who chose topics that Malcolm has been interested in over the years, such as various aspects of political, economic, social and cultural of the country and the region. The book closes with an essay by Malcolm Deas himself in which he reflects on the trade, while defending the need for critical thinking and pluralism.
