What will make Latin American professionals competitive in the future? Scholars from four countries in Latin America—Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru—take on the task of identify the portfolio of skills that professionals should have in order to get ahead in their working future. Rigorous and clear in their methods, the authors analyze the assessments that 81 experts in human resources and business administration give regarding thirty skills grouped into six dimensions: personal development, cognitive, social, sustainable, technological and global, according to the model the authors propose. Their findings, presented in this book, reveal areas of agreement but also nuances and variations which can be explained by the diversity of Latin American realities and environments.
