Masculinities, prostitution and human trafficking

Masculinidades, prostitución y trata de personas

This book is a collective work and as a whole there will be various study panoramas that coincide in turn with the urgent need to deconstruct a masculinity highly prone to the exercise of sexual violence, feminicide and the purchase of women for purposes of sexual exploitation, recognizing the shortcomings of male re-education programs, flooded with groups and associations that profit with little commitment to changes and challenges in complex societies. Within the framework of this book, I would like asking: how and from whom did we men learn to pay for sex? What are the differences between paying or not? What does life in prostitution mean to us? What effects does the idea of legalizing “sex work” have for Latin American men? Are men aware of sexual violence, its modalities and applications in relationships and with women in prostitution?
