The evaluation process is analysed in the context of medical education. The book tries to help medical teaching staff to explore and apply different evaluation instruments, according to the kind of evaluation, the learning contexts and skills to be evaluated. It is organized in three sections: the first one deals with general evaluation concepts, the second one discovers different evaluation instruments and their main characteristics. The third section, considers evaluation at different stages of the educational process for example, application and admission, graduation, etc. Also, it includes how to evaluate specific skills for medical graduates like communication or clinical reasoning.
