This book emerges as an idea to complement what has been learned in Microeconomics classes. On the part of the authors, this guide also aims to be a support for the student taking a Microeconomics course.
The book is divided into three sections: Consumer theory (preferences, budget restriction, demand), Producer theory (production, costs, supply), and Markets (perfect competition, imperfect markets, monopoly, oligopoly). Thus, the main topics of a basic Microeconomics course are introduced.
Each chapter is accompanied by a set of step-by-step exercises, with their respective explanations. At the end of each chapter, there are proposed exercises so that students can apply what they have learned. We believe that these exercises will be useful for university students.
The authors, two young university professors, discovered in their teaching practice that nothing helps the students more than solving exercises, because by contrasting theory with practice, not only they discover how much they have learned and what aspects they need to elucidate, but they also acquire security and reinforce their knowledge.
