The book addresses one of the most urgent themes of contemporary times: the situation of migrants and refugees in Brazil and in various parts of the world and international human mobility. With an up-to-date and precise focus on the topic, the title is "the result of the hybrid production of a Bolivian migrant worker from the Unified Health System and a high-level researcher in the fascinating field of global health," says professor Paulo Buss, former president of Fiocruz.

In five chapters, the researchers discuss the current situation of human mobility in the world and immigration in Brazil, health as a human right for migrant and refugee communities, as well as summaries about the experiences carried out at the Municipal Health Secretariat of São Paulo, which contemplated rounds of conversation and awareness among managers and health workers in units with a large flow of international migrants.
