Mobility in the Caribbean: the Cartagena railway and the Canal del Dique, 19th and 20th centuries is the seventh book in the Los Caminos de Hierro collection; In it, the transport corridors oriented to Colombian foreign trade through the port of Cartagena are studied, especially in terms of their ability to maintain hegemonic control of the city over the Bolívar Grande in particular, and over the Caribbean region in a broader context. Besides, it investigates to what extent the railroad became a laboratory for the development of social movements of skilled workers in the region and analyzes its level of success.
