This book analyzes food practices and the relationship between cooking and food in the daily life of some former victims of political kidnapping during the time they were being held by the Eastern Bloc of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc-EP), based on the theoretical input of feeding studies. In this sense, the investigative value of this text is relevant because, although kidnapping is clearly a despicable crime, it is appropriate to analyze whether those who were victims of this scourge for prolonged periods of time and amidst the most difficult conditions, produced any symbolisms or rituals and found reasons to keep going in the kitchen and in food.
