Elba Castro, environmental educator, shows the relationship between poetry and nature. This academic work analyzes the work of 13 living contemporary poets, who in their creative solitude are accompanied by the ecstasy of nature to offer speeches located in the interstices of art and education that refresh the face of the future and the territory we inhabit paved by the pessimism of planetary devastation. A question directs this project: What does the contemporary poetry of western Mexico say about nature? The findings surprise both poets and environmentalists and challenge our way of being and being in the world, connecting with the tissues of life.
