This proyect arises because of the XXV anniversary of CIESAS’ Indo-American Linguistics Master’s Degree in 2015. Its objective is to provide a sample of the variety and quality in researching works developed by students from this postgraduate course. It includes a selection of outstanding works by ten graduates that summarize some of the most significant contributions of their corresponding thesis. The chapters in this book open new inroads into the Mesoamerican linguistics and show the progress achieved in the formation of native, Indo-American languages-speaking linguists.
