NOSOPOLÍTICA DE LOS DISCURSOS BIOMÉDICOS EN COLOMBIA. FINALES DEL SIGLO XIX Y PRINCIPIOS DEL XX

From the historical-philosophical perspective created by Michel Foucault (archeological genealogy), this book aims to discover a particular historical archive in the Colombian and Latin American history, and to narrate those infamous lives that had suffered the practices of that archive. This book is about the "minor" history, no smaller and unimportant, but a history of the "infamous men". It is simultaneously a testimony of the "historical archive" and an "anthology of existences". This book examines in detail how the nosopolitics is an eugenic program of racial regeneration of the lower class, imposed since the late nineteenth century, exercising in harmony with the indulgent collaboration of the scientific knowledge.
